2011-2012 is an important milestone for our Rotaract programme since for the first time, our district has successfully organized our District Rotaract Committee composed of equal numbers of Rotarians and Rotaractors. Tenor of the motion is to create an impartial platform for Rotary and Rotaract leaders to firstly mingling together; secondly learning from each other and more, facing and resolving Rotaract matters together.
It is a chance for Rotaractors to understand how 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders all over the world are working together with strong fellowship to serve with humanitarian spirit; honoring high ethical standards in business and professions; sustaining the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace.
It is a chance for Rotarians to find out how we could assist our Rotaractors to develop their professional and leadership skill; to provide opportunities for them to address the needs and concerns of our community and our world; to appreciate their creative and innovative ideas; guiding them to adhere to the Rotaract rules and policies as an understanding of the true value of this important Rotary structural youth programme.
I must mention the three emphases of our RI President Kalyan Banerjee, asking us to start with strong and harmonious family; good neighborhoods; and build good communities and great nations.
Together we join our hands to “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”!
